Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cie Piano Studio website and any enquiries, requests, or communications you send to us through our forms, email, or phone. The website and services are provided by Cie AS (“Cie Piano Studio”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing our website, browsing our pages, or contacting us to request lesson availability, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or submit information through our forms.

You must be at least 16 years old to submit a form on this website. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must contact us on your behalf and supervise communications. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference and forms part of these Terms.

2. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

Cie Piano Studio operates in Norway. Our registered business identity and contact details are:

If you need help, the fastest route is email. If you contact us by phone and we miss the call, please leave a short message or email us with the best time to return the call.

3. Service Description

Cie Piano Studio provides piano instruction and related educational guidance. Content on this website is designed to explain our lesson formats, pricing approach, scheduling options, and how to get in touch. Any information provided on the website is for general informational purposes and may change over time.

Availability, lesson formats, and scheduling depend on teacher capacity, student needs, and practical constraints. Any request you submit through our contact form is a request for information and does not, by itself, create a binding contract for ongoing lessons.

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the website at any time. We also may update lesson formats or teaching materials as part of normal educational practice.

4. Educational Disclaimer (No Guarantees)

Piano learning is educational and skill-based. Progress depends on many factors including practice time, prior experience, learning pace, instrument access, and consistency. For that reason, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, exam results, audition outcomes, competition placements, or performance ability within a certain timeframe.

Any examples of improvement, case studies, or client feedback on our website describe typical educational journeys and are not promises of similar results. Results vary.

You remain responsible for your own choices about practice routines, performance decisions, and any commitments you make based on the information we provide. If you have any physical concerns related to playing (for example, pain, discomfort, or injury risk), you should seek advice from a qualified health professional. Our teaching guidance is not medical advice.

5. Booking Requests, Scheduling, and Cancellations

Lesson scheduling is coordinated by email or phone after you submit a booking request. We may ask follow-up questions to confirm your level, goals, and suitable times. A lesson time is only confirmed once we explicitly agree in writing (typically by email) on the date, time, format, and any applicable fees.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed lesson, notify us as early as possible so we can manage the schedule responsibly. Cancellation and rescheduling rules can vary by lesson format and teacher availability. Where a specific cancellation policy applies to your arrangement, we will confirm it in writing as part of booking.

If repeated last-minute cancellations occur, we may require prepaid sessions or may decline to offer additional slots. This is a practical scheduling measure, not a penalty.

6. Fees and Currency

Unless stated otherwise, prices and fees related to lessons are quoted in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Any pricing information on the website is informational and may be updated. If there is a conflict between website pricing and a written quote provided by us, the written quote will control for that specific booking.

We do not accept payments through this website unless we explicitly state otherwise. If payment is required for a booking, we will provide payment instructions using established methods and confirm the details in writing.

7. Acceptable Use of the Website

You agree to use the website in a lawful, respectful, and non-disruptive manner. You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable Norwegian laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, our systems, or any accounts.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the website, including by introducing malware, automated attacks, or denial-of-service behavior.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the website using automated means without our prior written permission.
  • Submit false, misleading, or impersonated information through our forms or communications.
  • Send spam, bulk messages, or commercial solicitations unrelated to piano lessons.

We may restrict access to the website or block communications that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

8. Intellectual Property

The website and its content, including text, lesson descriptions, teaching materials, graphics, brand name, and logos, are owned by or licensed to Cie AS and are protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes related to learning about our services and contacting us. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit the website content without our prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may reference third-party services that are necessary for normal operation, such as embedded maps on our Contact page. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

If you choose to interact with third-party services, you do so at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components. We also do not warrant that any content is complete, current, or suitable for every individual’s circumstances.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cie AS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the website or your communications with us, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm.

To the extent that liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the website or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence where prohibited, or statutory consumer rights.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cie AS, its directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of unlawful or infringing content through our forms or communications.

13. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, acts of government, labor disputes, war, public health emergencies, internet outages, power failures, cyberattacks, or failures of hosting or cloud infrastructure.

14. International Use

The website is intended for users interested in piano lessons delivered in Norway. We make no representation that the website or its content is appropriate or legally available in all jurisdictions. If you access the website from outside Norway, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway, unless mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.

If you are a consumer located in the EEA, you may also have the right to bring claims in your country of residence under applicable consumer laws.

16. Dispute Resolution (Informal First)

Before starting formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us and allow a reasonable period of at least 30 days for informal resolution. Many issues can be resolved quickly with clear information about what happened and what outcome you are requesting.

You can send dispute-related notices to [email protected] with the subject line “Dispute Notice”.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the website or restrict communications if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or that your activity presents a security or operational risk.

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cie AS regarding use of the website and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications on the same subject.

20. Assignment and No Waiver

We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.

If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.

21. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect 14 days after we post the updated Terms on this page, unless a change is required by law or is necessary for security reasons (in which case it may take effect immediately).

The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
